New Member Sign-Up Flow in the Mobile App

This document outlines the complete flow for registering a new member through the mobile app, including filling the initial form, handling OTP verification, and understanding what data is captured at each stage.

Step 1: Start a New Sign-Up

Click on the Sign Up option in the app to begin a completely new member registration flow.






As soon as you tap Sign Up, a short registration form will appear for you to complete.





Step 2: Enter Basic Member Details

In the form, enter the member’s basic details:

  • Type the member’s name (e.g., “Mobile App Sign Up”) in the Name field.









  • Enter the Date of Birth (you can use a placeholder or sample date during testing).

  • Select the Gender from the available options.





Select the appropriate Location from the list of all available branches or gyms for the brand. Typically, the member should select the branch closest to them.





Choose whether the member agrees or disagrees to receive promotional content, and then tap Sign Up to submit the form.









Step 4: Retrieve and Enter the OTP

After tapping Sign Up, the member will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) to complete login. Retrieve this OTP from the member’s device or inbox (e.g., “Mobile Apps Sign Up 23” in the demo).

When you receive the OTP (for example, 2143), enter it into the OTP fields on the screen.









Step 5: Provide Additional Information (Optional)

Once the OTP is successfully submitted, the app moves to a second screen and prompts for the member’s phone number and possibly other optional details.





At this stage:

  • The member’s profile record has already been created.
  • Core details such as name, email, and other initial information have been captured.
  • The member’s email has already been verified.

On this second screen, the app is simply attempting to collect any additional information it can (e.g., phone number). Even if the member closes the app at this point, the basic profile and verified email are already stored in the system.
