Configuring and Purchasing Personal Training Memberships

In this document, we will guide you through the process of configuring and purchasing personal training memberships, including options for session packs and monthly recurring plans. We'll first demonstrate how these memberships appear on a POS screen for members to enroll in or purchase, and then walk through the necessary admin configurations.

Step 1

We will begin by examining the configuration and purchase of personal training memberships, which can be structured as a session pack (e.g., a 10-session pack valid for a month) or as a monthly recurring plan (e.g., billing for 10 personal training sessions every month). Let's first review how these options are presented on a POS screen, enabling members to enroll or purchase them.

Step 2

Next, we will explore the admin configurations. We start by accessing the active clients section and selecting a member. Within the subscptions tab, you'll notice a current all-access, paid-in-full membership, which appears to be an annual membership.

Step 3

This is just a basic membership that does not include personal training. When the member is ready to purchase personal training, they can click on the add subscriptions or add-ons tab, which directs them to the point of sale screen. Here, select 'personal training' to filter and view the available options.

Step 4

We will examine options one and three. The first option is a personal training package consisting of 10 sessions, priced at $1,000.

Step 5

This plan is not under contract and is a paid-in-full arrangement, resembling a session pack. The second plan we review is also for 10 personal training sessions but operates as a monthly plan. It is configured as a pay-as-you-go arrangement.

Step 6

This lack of a contract indicates a monthly recurring membership. Let's explore both options further.

Step 7

By selecting the PT 10 sessions paid-in-full option, you can choose a start date and note that this is a one-time cost of $1,000. Assign a personal trainer for this package, and proceed with the payment. This method allows you to purchase a personal training pack with a fixed expiry date.

Step 8

This package is valid for a month. Let's move on to the personal training 10-session monthly plan, which is recurring. You can see the per-month price displayed here. After selection, set a start date.

Step 9

The billing is set to occur upon signup, which follows an anniversary billing system. Configurations may vary, but you'll see the charges listed from November 25th to December 24th, costing $750. This is distinct from a session pack.

Step 10

As this is a recurring membership, the initial payment is $750, inclusive of tax, with the same amount recurring monthly. The process remains consistent, allowing you to change the trainer and proceed with the payment. We have now explored purchasing a personal training pack, including a 10-session monthly recurring contract and a fixed pack.

Step 11

Now, let's review how these plans are configured. Access the admin settings and navigate to the rate card and plans section.

Step 12

Here, you will find the two plans we examined: PT 10 sessions paid in full and PT 10 sessions monthly pay-as-you-go. Let's delve into the configurations, starting with the session pack.

Step 13

This plan is configured as paid in full. By examining the services, you'll see it is a personal training service of type appointment.

Screenshot 13

Step 14

The package includes 10 sessions as an individual membership, with the service duration set to two months. This means it is valid for two months instead of one, as mentioned earlier.

Step 15

This is a paid-in-full package. Let's return to the admin section.

Step 16

Review the PT 10 sessions monthly plan, which is labeled as pay-as-you-go rather than paid in full.

Screenshot 16

Step 17

This plan is set to recur monthly. As a pay-as-you-go arrangement, there is no contract, and the billing occurs every month.

Screenshot 17

Step 18

If you wish to change it to a contract, you can also establish PT contracts with a minimum commitment of six months if desired. Let's proceed to the services section.

Step 19

Edit the service details, noting that the price is $750 for 10 sessions. This is an individual service. Thus, personal training can be purchased as a session pack or as a monthly recurring membership or plan.
