Personal Training Membership Setup and Purchase Guide

This document provides a comprehensive overview of configuring and purchasing personal training memberships, available as session packs or monthly recurring options. It guides the user through the point of sale (POS) screen process, showcasing how these memberships can be configured in the admin settings for ease of member enrollment and purchase.

Step 1

We'll begin by examining how personal training memberships appear on the POS screen, allowing members to enroll or make a purchase. Memberships can be either session packs, such as a 10-session pack valid for a month, or monthly recurring packages with billing for 10 PT sessions every month.

Step 2

Next, we delve into the admin configurations to understand their setup. Open a member's profile from the active clients list. Under the subscriptions tab, you may find an all-access, paid-in-full membership, which typically represents an annual plan.

Step 3

If the member holds a base membership without personal training, they can opt to purchase it by clicking the add subscriptions or add-ons tab. This action directs you to the POS screen, where you can filter by personal training and view three available options.

Step 4

Let's focus on options one and three. The first option is a 10-session personal training package costing $1,000.

Step 5

This option is a paid-in-full session pack, not tied to a contract. The second plan, offering 10 sessions, is a monthly plan designed as pay-as-you-go.

Step 6

There is no contract for the monthly plan, signifying a monthly recurring membership. Let's review both options.

Step 7

For the PT 10 sessions paid-in-full option, select a start date. This one-time payment of $1,000 allows you to assign a personal trainer and proceed with the payment process. This package has a fixed expiry date.

Step 8

This package is valid for a month. Now, let's explore the 10-session monthly option, a recurring membership. Select a start date to initiate the process.

Step 9

Billing is set to begin upon sign-up, following an anniversary billing cycle. The charges range from November 25th to December 24th, costing $750. This differs from a session pack.

Step 10

Being a recurring membership, the initial payment of $750 (inclusive of tax) is required, with the same amount due each month. You can assign the trainer and proceed with the payment. We explored the purchase of a personal training pack with 10 sessions available as a monthly recurring contract or a fixed pack.

Step 11

Now, let's review the configuration process. Access the admin settings, then navigate to the rate card and plans section.

Step 12

Here, you will find the two plans we discussed: the PT 10 session paid-in-full and the PT 10 session monthly pay-as-you-go. Let's examine their configurations further.

Screenshot 12

Step 13

The session pack is configured as paid-in-full. Checking the services section reveals it is a personal training appointment service with 10 sessions, and it's an individual membership with a two-month service duration.

Step 14

An earlier mistake indicated a one-month duration; however, it is actually valid for two months. It remains a paid-in-full option.

Step 15

Returning to the admin section, examine the PT 10 sessions monthly. This plan is named accordingly.

Screenshot 15

Step 16

It is configured as pay-as-you-go, not paid-in-full, and is marked as recurring monthly.

Screenshot 16

Step 17

This pay-as-you-go plan lacks a contract, instead billing monthly. Optional PT contracts with a six-month minimum commitment can also be set up.

Step 18

In the services section, the 10-session package is priced at $750 for an individual service.

Step 19

Thus, personal training can be purchased either as a session pack or a monthly recurring membership or plan.
